Named one of 10 Women to Watch in Tech in 2013 by Inc. magazine, Dr. Vivienne Ming is a theoretical neuroscientist, technologist and entrepreneur. Her first technology project was designed to put CIA agents out of a job by developing a system that could perform lie detection better than humans. Since then, her career has been centered on inventing machine learning technologies and researching and writing about their impact. In her free time, Vivienne has developed a predictive model of diabetes to better manage the glucose levels of her diabetic son and systems to predict manic episodes in bipolar sufferers. She sits on the boards of The Palm Center, Emozia, Engender and Genderis Inc., and she is a Chief Science Advisor to Cornerstone Capital, Platypus Institute, Shiftgig, and Bayes Impact.
