Academy Award-winning Actress

Kate Winslet has brought to life some of cinema’s most captivating and memorable roles. Her critically and commercially acclaimed work has earned her a span of awards and honors that illustrate her talent and solidify her place in cinema history.

Kate won her first Academy Award for her role as Hannah Schmitz in Stephen Daldry’s 2008 film The Reader. She also won a Golden Globe, SAG, BAFTA and Critics’ Choice Award, among many others, for the role. At the age of 17, Kate made an international name for herself in Peter Jackson’s Heavenly Creatures. She followed that in 1995 with Ang Lee’s Sense and Sensibility, for which she received her first Academy Award nomination. Kate is also known for her Academy Award-nominated roles in Titanic, Iris, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Little Children and Steve Jobs.

Beyond film, Kate starred in the title role in HBO’s multiple award-winning, five-part miniseries Mildred Pierce, for which she won Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Awards as Best Actress in 2010. In 2013, she was awarded the CBE, and in 2014 she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, cementing her status among the stars of Hollywood.

2016 also saw Kate film Wonder Wheel with Justin Timberlake and Juno Temple. The project is due for release later this year.

2017 will also see Kate in The Mountain Between Us starring opposite Idris Elba. The Hany Abu- Assad film adaptation of Charles Martin’s novel is due for release in October in the US and UK.
