Lacy Bogan is a partner in Ernst & Young LLP's National Professional Practice Group, where she focuses on lease accounting matters and various financial statement presentation topics. In this role, she advises engagement teams and clients, monitors standard-setting activities, and helps develop EY’s interpretive guidance.
Previously, Lacy worked in the EY’s assurance practice based in Denver, primarily serving real estate clients.
Lacy earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from Baylor University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Certified Public Accountant in New York, Texas and Colorado.
John Offenbacher is a partner in Ernst & Young LLP's National Professional Practice Group, where he primarily focuses on revenue recognition matters. Previously, John served as a Partner in EY’s Assurance practice in Chicago. In this role, John served as an audit partner on various audit engagements primarily in the original equipment manufacturing space.
John rejoined EY after serving as a Senior Associate Chief Accountant in the Office of the Chief Accountant of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. In this role, John supervised a team responsible for taking a leadership role in coordinating the Commission’s oversight of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. In addition, John served as a policy adviser to the Chief Accountant on audit matters.
John is a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois, Washington D.C. and Ohio.
Jeff Schaeffer is a Partner in Ernst & Young LLP's National Professional Practice Group, where he specializes in financial instrument accounting matters. In this role, Jeff is responsible for developing the firm’s interpretive guidance, interacting with standard setters, and advising clients and engagement teams throughout the Americas Practice.
From September 2012 through July 2014, Jeff was a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Before joining the SEC, Jeff was a Senior Manager in EY’s National Professional Practice Group and the firm’s Advisory Practice where he worked on financial instrument and consolidation matters.
Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from James Madison University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Meredith Taylor is an Executive Director in Ernst & Young LLP’s Professional Practice Group, where she focuses on matters related to consolidation, the equity method and spinoffs. In this role, Meredith is responsible for developing interpretative guidance, interacting with standard setters, and advising clients and engagement teams.
Prior to this position, Meredith was a member of the EY Global IFRS group in London, where she focused on the accounting for similar matters under IFRS. Previously, Meredith spent several years in EY’s assurance practice in McLean, Virginia, serving public and private companies, primarily in the government contracting, technology, and telecommunications industries. She was also the co-author of International GAAP®.
Meredith is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia and in the District of Columbia. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Meredith earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the McIntire School of Commerce from the University of Virginia.
