EY - Brian Salsberg

Brian Salsberg

Ernst & Young LLP

Brian Salsberg is the US Merger Integration Leader in the Operational Transactions Services practice of Ernst & Young LLP. He has experience supporting numerous diligence efforts, post-merger integrations, carve-outs and divestitures across multiple industries, including in the consumer and retail sectors.

Prior to joining EY, Brian was the SVP of Strategy & Business Development at Avon Products, Inc., where he reported to the CEO and was a member of the Executive Committee. Brian was responsible for a number of strategic business alliances and two divestitures and also led Avon’s global digital COE. Brian spent 13 years at McKinsey & Company, where he was a partner focused on the Consumer, Retail and Life Sciences sectors. His experience included a number of transaction-related engagements. He also supported multiple private equity transactions while a corporate attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore.

Brian earned a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.

EY - Kim Fisher

Ernst & Young LLP

Kim Fisher is a Principal in the People Advisory Services practice of Ernst & Young LLP. She is focused on culture, communication and change management challenges triggered by a transaction. With more than 19 years of experience, Kim has supported clients in global transactions ranging from mergers to divestitures to IPOs.

Kim’s transaction and change experience includes leading the HR and communications teams to integrate a Japan-based consumer products organization acquiring a Netherlands-based competitor; leading the international HR and PMO team to support a merger within the asset management industry across 16 countries and 5,000 employees; and leading the communications and culture teams for the domestic merger of a leading food retailer merging with a leading food wholesaler, assessing the current cultures and aligning leadership on the future culture and values.

Kim earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of California and holds a PHR certification.

EY - Linda West

Linda West


Linda B. West is Vice President of DuPont Corporate Planning & Analyses. She joined the company as an internal auditor in 1981 and held various business leadership and finance function roles at the company over the next two decades.

In September 2003, Linda was appointed Vice President and General Auditor, and in February 2006, she was named Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer. In January 2008, she was named Vice President and General Manager of DuPont Imaging Technologies, responsible for the packaging graphics, digital printing, authentication and display enhancements business units. She was named to her current position in October 2009. During her time in this role, she led the divestiture of DuPont Performance Coatings in 2013, the spin of Chemours in 2015 and is currently leading the separation activities for the two intended spins post DuPont’s merger with Dow.

Linda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Delaware.

EY - Pete Petersen

Pete Petersen

Northwestern Mutual and LearnVest

Pete Petersen is Vice President of the Integration Management Office for Northwestern Mutual and LearnVest. He joined Northwestern Mutual in 1990 in an IT role and gained leadership and technical experience through roles in various departments including Long-Term Care, Corporate Strategy, Human Resources and a six-month executive rotation within the company's field office in Maryland.

Since Northwestern Mutual acquired FinTech startuo LearnVest in 2015, Pete has been leading the integration of the two companies. This work continues today to leverage what us best from each organization, while preserving elements that serve as cultural touchstones.

Pete has an MBA from Marquette University and a Bachelor’s Degree in mangement information systems from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Mitch Berlin is the US Operational Transaction Services Leader in the Transaction Advisory Services practice of Ernst & Young LLP. He has a strong background in transaction, advisory and assurance-based services spanning a broad range of industries, including chemicals, financial services, industrial products, retail, consumer goods, software and professional services.

Mitch has extensive project management experience, working on global projects spanning more than 70 countries. His transaction experience includes the separation and sale of a performance coatings business with a presence in 30+ countries, the separation and partial IPO of a global consumer products business from a global pharmaceutical company with a presence in 65+ countries and the finance and accounting integration workstream for the commodities division of a major financial institution for three separate acquisitions.

Mitch earned his Bachelor of Science in accounting from The Ohio State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in New York.
