- EY strengthens position as cybersecurity leader with the addition of security consulting team
Ernst & Young LLP in the U.S announces that the team from Aspect Security, Inc., a cybersecurity consulting firm, has joined EY in the U.S. The Northeast-based team will join the EY Cybersecurity practice.
Established in 2002, Aspect Security offers industry-leading application security (AppSec) services and solutions with leadership in the mobile technology, social media and cloud computing domains. With Aspect Security’s team onboard, EY will increase its broad coverage on application and product security.
Bob Sydow, EY Americas Cybersecurity Leader, says:
“Bringing in Aspect Security’s capabilities enriches the EY cybersecurity offerings that help clients secure their digital technology investments. Over the past several years, we have grown our cybersecurity services significantly, both organically and through strategic investments, to create a global network of better-connected consultants. In this Transformative Age of unprecedented business complexity and rapid change, we are constantly looking to add long-lasting value and quickly provide smart solutions for EY clients.”
Now more than ever, cybersecurity has become a critical need for clients, spanning across all of EY service lines. Aspect Security brings a highly skilled team and go-to-market strategy that will strengthen the EY cybersecurity capabilities and support more end-to-end transformations for clients, including enterprise-wide application security strategies that identify, quantify and address their organization’s application security risk.
Chad Holmes, EY Americas Chief Technology, Innovation and Strategy Officer for the Cybersecurity practice, says:
“Organizations across all industries are driving the digital agenda and are actively producing connected products to help enable their growth and their customer experience. This requires security to be designed and integrated in the beginning. The experience and training elements that Aspect Security brings to the EY Cybersecurity practice will fuel rapid growth in consulting, integration and managed services.”
John Pavone, former CEO of Aspect Security, says:
“We are excited to join with EY to help clients understand their business and application security needs. With our heritage in deep technical knowledge, combined with EY’s global reach and leading-class consultants, we will support clients as they realize and implement focused and comprehensive application and product security solutions.”
To expand its cybersecurity footprint, EY recently opened an advanced cybersecurity center in Dallas, Texas as part of EY wavespace™. The cybersecurity center brings together multidisciplinary teams, distinct capabilities and collaborative working environments, focusing on disruptive growth, optimization strategies and technologies. It also serves as a learning hub to help train clients and the next generation of EY cybersecurity professionals.
