  • EY named one of world’s Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) by the KNOW Network
  • Recognition is for EY improving intellectual capital and transforming enterprise knowledge into customer value
  • The annual Global MAKE survey is the leading benchmark for the world’s best knowledge-based organizations

EY has been recognized as a Global Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) for 2016 by a panel of 3,000 C-level Fortune Global 500 company executives.

The distinction ranks EY among the world’s 20 leading organizations for turning its intellectual and knowledge property into business value. The selection this year reflects EY’s continued commitment and progress in building and engineering an innovative digital portal and personalized search engine that connects its extensive database networks of insights, analysis, research and reports onto one platform for its entire global workforce to access.

The portal, known internally at EY as Discover, provides instant access to information enabling EY people to share intelligence and insights quickly with clients and the market – fostering a seamless, secure knowledge exchange. Since EY implemented Discover in June 2016, the portal has averaged 1.4 million views of content every month and has nearly 200,000 active users as it continues to be activated across the EY global organization.

Uschi Schreiber, EY Global Vice Chair for Markets, says:
“Effective global knowledge management is a key commitment for EY. The introduction and rapid growth of Discover marks an evolution in EY’s knowledge culture. Discover demonstrates our ongoing commitment to bringing global insights to local teams and clients. It illustrates our commitment to using innovative technology for the benefit of all our clients, no matter where they are. This strong digital platform enables our people to quickly bring EY’s collective knowledge to the market – that way we can provide better answers to our clients’ toughest questions.”

Launched in 1998, the annual Global MAKE survey is the leading benchmark for the world’s best knowledge-based organizations. EY is a globally recognized knowledge leader and this year marks the 18th time it has been honored by the annual survey. The survey recognizes EY for its strategic investment in a dedicated global network of knowledge professionals that source, analyze and distribute the latest business information, as well as converting the collected experiences of EY’s people into reusable intellectual assets.
