Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year

The winning entrepreneurs from each country were inducted into the World Entrepreneur Of The Year Academy in Monte Carlo, Monaco during the 2008 World Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards on 31 May 2008. Dr Jean-Paul Clozel of Actelion Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Switzerland, was awarded the coveted title of Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year.


Jean-Paul Clozel named Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2008

Switzerland's Dr. Jean-Paul Clozel was named as the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2008 at the climax of a glittering ceremony in Monte Carlo on 31 May. Dr. Clozel, founder of Actelion Pharmaceuticals Ltd., was described as "epitomizing the entrepreneurial spirit" by Ernst & Young Chairman and CEO Jim Turley.

2008 Judging Panel

Many of the judges for World Entrepreneur Of The Year are past Entrepreneur Of The Year Winners or National Judges for their country's Award Program. All have been recognized as leaders in their fields. This year, the World Entrepreneur Of The Year Judging Panel was chaired by Joe Schoendorf, Executive Partner of Accel Partners. Joe facilitated discussions with members of the judging panel to ensure all the candidates were reviewed and considered for this year's World Entrepreneur Of The Year.
