Interviews
When all nominations are in, we will meet each nominee before submitting reports to the judging panel. By mid-May, the judges will announce a shortlist of 24 Finalists. Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony in Citywest on October 23rd, 2008.
Judging Criteria
All the judges in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® programme are business people who have achieved success in their own right. Thus, all nominees are judged by their peers.
Judging criteria include growth in turnover and employee numbers, as well as vision, degree of innovation, creativity in production, marketing and selling, and expansion in local and international markets.
Successful nominees must also display clear evidence that CSR and environmental consideration are embedded into their business practices and corporate culture.
Nominees are judged in three categories:
- Emerging Entrepreneur Of The Year®
- Industry Entrepreneur Of The Year®
- International Services Entrepreneur Of The Year®
Judges then decide the overall award winner from one of the three categories. He or she is the:
- Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® for Ireland.
