Risk Management Services

In today's market environment of heightened risks, regulatory pressures and shareholder expectations, staying competitive requires risk to be managed company-wide. Sound risk management practice enables organisations to control risk, measure performance more effectively, determine capital allocations, satisfy regulatory expectations and realize a variety of other business advantages.

Ernst & Young's Financial Services Risk Management Practice (FSRM) is a dedicated group of professionals who provide integrated risk management assurance and advisory services. FSRM includes both industry and product professionals, as well as regulatory and risk management technology professionals, all of whom work together to deliver value-added risk management services to a variety of market segments.

FSRM is a unique practice among Ernst & Young's competitors since the practice combines qualitative, quantitative, regulatory, and technology skills with broad industry knowledge to provide financial services, as well as global treasury organisations, with fully integrated risk measurement and management services.

Credit Risk Management – The risk that a loss will be incurred as a result of a counterparty defaulting on a financial instrument and/or as a result of the change in price of a financial instrument due to a credit rating migration.

Market Risk Management – Volatility in today's financial markets is causing many organisations to re-examine and enhance their risk managment processes. Ernst & Young offers a host of services that focus on these market risk issues.

Operational Risk Management – The risk of loss resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, people and systems or external events.

Global Treasury Advisory Services – Helping corporate and financial sector treasurers to manage the risks to which their activities expose them; to comply with the rules and regulations that govern different aspects of their operations; and to ensure that they perform the various functions for which they are responsible as effectively as possible.

Ernst & Young's service line professionals work alongside Industry group experts, and are supported by professionals from our Quantitative group and Technology group.
