15 October 2007: Ernst & Young has today announced the appointment of three senior finance and regulatory specialists from Thames Water, as part of its ongoing investment in the UK utilities practice.
Pip Gilbert, Vanessa Clark and Helen Reid join the firm’s national water practice – a team of over 50 dedicated professionals around the UK, who work across a range of services from tax to risk and business advisory.
Pip Gilbert , formerly Head of Finance Projects at Thames Water, joins as a senior risk manager based in Reading. Previously she spent over nine years working for Thames Water in a variety of roles in the finance and internal audit functions and has also consulted to other water and sewerage companies.
Helen Reid joins Ernst & Young as a tax advisor based in Manchester. She was formerly Head of Tax at Thames Water, where she started her four year career in the sector.
Vanessa Clark will be based in London and has been appointed as a manager to the team, focusing on performance improvement and customer experience. She has held a number of senior posts at Thames Water, latterly as Head of Customer Relations, Regulatory and Policy, and has seven years’ experience of working in the sector.
