While our work is rewarding, we’re always delighted and honored when respected organizations recognize our achievements.


Top 50 Companies for Diversity (April 2008) — Ernst & Young has once again been recognized as one of the Top 50 Companies for Diversity by DiversityInc. magazine. Our ongoing inclusiveness efforts support career development, workforce planning, communication, and leadership accountability for minority professionals, as well as a supplier diversity program. We ranked No. 17 on the list and also were among DiversityInc.'s Top 10 Companies for Asian-Americans and Top 10 Companies for LGBT Employees.

Top 50 Corporations for Supplier Diversity (March 2008)Hispanic Enterprise magazine has selected Ernst & Young as a leading organization in committing time, energy and internal resources to developing comprehensive supplier programs. Our Supplier Diversity program fosters and promotes the development of enhanced business relationships with diverse business enterprises and enhances our ability to deliver quality client services.

FORTUNE "100 Best Companies to Work For" (January 2008) — For the 10th consecutive year, Ernst & Young is among FORTUNE magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For," ranking 57 overall on the prestigious list and 18 among large companies. The distinction reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a culture that helps our people reach their full potential and fostering a flexible and inclusive work environment that supports people both personally and professionally.

Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) Award (November 2007) — Ernst & Young has been named a Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise for the 10th consecutive year, and ranked first in the categories Developing Knowledge Workers Through Senior Management Leadership and Delivering Knowledge-Based Products and Services. Inducted into the MAKE Hall of Fame in 2000, Ernst & Young was the only Big Four professional services organization recognized.

Out & Equal Workplace Award (October 2007) —Out & Equal Workplace Advocates has honored Ernst & Young with its 2007 award for Significant Achievement in recognition of our strides to advance a fair and equitable workplace for our lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and their allies. During the past year we’ve worked to raise awareness of LGBT people and issues both internally and in the greater community through discussion of our workplace policies with other business leaders and by getting our people involved.

Best Places to Launch a Career (September 2007) — Ernst & Young ranked third on Business Week's list of the Best Places to Launch a Career. The list of the top employers for new college grads is based on feedback from campus directors of undergraduate career services; a survey of finalist companies regarding pay, benefits, retention and training programs and how they compared with other employers in the same industry; and data from Universum Communications' survey of U.S. undergrads on the most desirable employers.

Corporate Equality Index (September 2007) — For the third consecutive year, Ernst & Young has received a perfect 100% score on the Corporate Equality Index, published by the Human Rights Campaign, which has also named Ernst & Young as a Best Place to Work for 2008. These distinctions reflect Ernst & Young's active support of an inclusive workplace for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people.

Diversity Elite 60 (September 2007) — Ernst & Young is one of Hispanic Business magazine's Diversity Elite 60 (formerly Top 50 Companies for Hispanics), our second year on the list and the only Big Four firm to receive the distinction. The publication evaluates more than 30 variables that measure commitment to Hispanic hiring, promotion, marketing, philanthropy, and supplier diversity.

100 Best Companies for Working Mothers (September 2007) — Ernst & Young ranked among the top 10 companies on Working Mother magazine's annual list of 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers. This is the 10th consecutive year that our firm has been on the list, which recognizes employers whose workplace initiatives — including benefits programs, network groups, and employee resources — are leading the US movement to build and maintain supportive work environments for working parents.

Computerworld 100 Best Places to Work in IT (July 2007) — Ernst & Young has consistently ranked on Computerworld magazine's annual list of the 100 Best Places to Work in IT, this year rising to 36th. Among the benefits cited are a flexible work environment that includes telecommuting options; full technology support; and programs such as elder care, backup child care, and concierge service.

Top Companies for Multicultural Women (July 2007) — Ernst & Young has been named one of the Top Companies for Multicultural Women, a select list of just 20 companies created by Working Mother Media. The firm's Executive Mentoring Program for minority employees and Career Watch committees that focus on assignments for diverse employees were cited as leading programs.

DiversityInc. magazine Top 10 Companies for People with Disabilities (April 2007) —Ernst & Young was named to the Top 10 Companies for People with Disabilities list published by DiversityInc. magazine. Ernst & Young competed for the honor based on several important indicators, including how the company recruits, retains, and promotes employees with disabilities, and how they are using disability employee-resource groups to reach this community and their supporters. DiversityInc. calculates the list based upon answers to these questions on The 2007 DiversityInc. Top 50 Companies for Diversity survey, and information from corporate Web sites.

2007 Recruiting Excellence Awards (April 2007) — Ernst & Young received top honors as Best College Recruiting Program winner in the 2007 Recruiting Excellence Awards at the ERE Expo 2007 Sprint Conference and Exhibition hosted by ERE Media, which provides online information and networking opportunities for recruiters and HR professionals. The awards recognize companies that excel at developing and implementing recruiting and retention programs.

INROADS Best of Class Conference (March 2007) — Ernst & Young received top honors at the 9th Annual Best of Class Conference sponsored by INROADS, Inc., the leading provider of employment opportunities for talented minority youth in business and industry in the U.S. In FY 2006, we hired 158 INROADS interns, a 76% increase over FY 2005. Our retention rate of 94.4% of INROADS interns was the highest of any organization, and our firm was among the national sponsors with the highest percentage of INROADS interns who became full-time employees.

Training Top 125 (February 2007) — Ernst & Young ranks sixth on Training magazine's 2007 list of the top 125 businesses that excel at development initiatives for their people. It's the sixth year in a row that the quality of our learning organization and commitment to professional and personal development for our people has been recognized on this list of business learning elite.

Disabilities Matters Award (February 2007) — Ernst & Young is one of only six companies to receive the first annual Disabilities Matters Award presented by Springboard Consulting and Work Life Matters magazine. The honor recognizes our pioneering dedication to creating an enabling environment for people with disabilties by providing innovative practices and programs addressing the needs of employees with disabilties and employees with children with special needs. The winning companies' disabilities and special-needs programs will be featured in the spring 2007 issue of Work Life Matters.

Top 50 Employers for People with Disabilities (January 2007)CAREERS & the disABLED magazine has ranked Ernst & Young as one of the top 50 companies for people with disabilities. We are the only Big Four firm to be included in the publication's 16th annual survey asking readers to name employers for whom they would most like to work or that they believe would provide a progressive environment for people with disabilities.
