Ernst & Young and two top-ranked educational institutions, the University of Notre Dame and the University of Virginia, offer a unique master's of accountancy program primarily for non-accounting business majors.
As a participant in EY’s Your Master Plan (YMP) program, you'll earn a master's of accountancy degree while working for one of the world's leading professional services firms. EY covers all costs associated with tuition, books, room and board, and transportation.
The Plan
During the first summer, you’ll attend classes for five to 12 weeks at one of the participating universities. You'll be eligible for EY benefits and will be paid a $1,000-per-month starter stipend.
After the first summer, you’ll begin full-time client service as an Assurance & Advisory Business Services professional, while taking one fall semester class via distance learning.
You’ll return for a second summer of classes at the university to complete your Master of Science in accountancy.
After you've earned your master's, you’ll return to your local office to continue your audit career. We’ll even help you prepare to take the CPA exam.

Prerequisites
To qualify, you must have a superior academic record and a bachelor's degree in business, with a concentration in management information systems, management, finance, operations or economics. You must have completed a general business curriculum that includes the following types of courses:
Introduction to Financial Accounting
Introduction to Managerial Accounting
Microeconomics
Macroeconomics
Managerial Finance
Principles of Marketing
Management of Organizations
Introduction to Statistics
Introduction to Calculus
U.S. Business Law

A portion or all of the tuition, room and board fees, and transportation costs associated with the program may be taxable to you as the participant, depending on your individual situation. Your local campus recruiter can help you assess your situation.
How and When to Apply
Sometimes taking the first step is the biggest challenge. If you're not able to connect with an EY representative at your school but are interested in being considered for YMP, apply online at: www.ey.com/us/apply.
Click "Campus Application," then select "Campus Full-Time Application — U.S."
Follow the screen instructions and complete the application. To distinguish your interest in the YMP program, when prompted for an "Ad or event ID," please enter: YMP Cls of 2008.
The YMP application period occurs September through March. The application deadline is March 31 each year.
If you've submitted an application for this job to Ernst & Young within the last 12 months, please do not resubmit. If you meet the program requirements and we see a possible fit, we'll invite you to interview in one of our area offices.
