The need for responsible and resilient supply chains grows as companies face increasing risk and pressure for transparency while managing a growing array of externalities.
Climate change and sustainability are becoming more important to governments, businesses and people everywhere.
On the one hand, businesses face increasingly complex regulatory requirements – that differ by country and industry – as well as the weight of public expectations. On the other hand, the climate change and sustainability agenda presents companies opportunities to generate revenues and cut costs. For many organizations, striking this balance means embedding climate change and sustainability into the hearts of their business. Only by doing so can they meet short-term objectives and create long-term stakeholder value.
EY can help. Our Climate Change and Sustainability Services team is grounded in our core skills in assurance, tax, transactions and advisory. On top of that we have the specific knowledge to help you understand business and regulatory threats and opportunities, explore and execute commercial transactions, monitor performance and assure public disclosures on progress. You'll receive a tailored service supported by global methodologies to address issues relating to your specific needs. Wherever you are in the world, we will provide the right professionals to support you.
Certified Training on the new GRI Standards
EY, a Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Certified Training Partner, is proud to announce the first GRI certified training course in Greece on the new GRI Standards, and the relevant changes from the GRI G4 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines.
The GRI Standards, announced on 19 October, 2016, are the first global standards for sustainability reporting. They feature a modular, interrelated structure, and represent the global best practice for reporting on a range of economic, environmental and social impacts.
The course, which is supported by CSR HELLAS and Global Compact Network Hellas, will take place on Friday 11 November, 2016, at the EY office, in Maroussi (8b Chimarras Str.) from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The specific training course is addressed to organizations that are already developing GRI G4 reports, and to participants with good knowledge of the GRI G4 guidelines, including those who have completed the 2-day GRI Certified course on GRI G4.
A more detailed 2-day version of this course, addressed to participants with no prior knowledge of GRI G4, will also be announced soon.
A certificate of completion will be sent directly to participants from the GRI organization.
