The Companies Act 2013 (the 2013 Act) is now a reality. Out of total 470 sections of the 2013 Act, 283 sections have already been notified and are effective. The final rules relating to 19 chapters, covering most of the notified section, have also been issued. To address practical issues and provide more clarity, the MCA has also amended Schedule II (regarding depreciation), issued/ proposed three orders for removal of practical difficulties and issued certain General Circulars.
