The EY Human Capital Forum received a stupendous response at Delhi.

The half-day event saw more than 100 delegates sharing the platform to deliberate on evolving global mobility trends, Permanent Establishment & Transfer Pricing issues, Provident Fund and International Workers and so on. Over ten thought leaders from industry bodies, Government, Indian Inc & tax professionals provided a 360 degree overview on the subject.

Mr. S C Sharma (Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, International Worker Unit, EPFO) and Gagan Sabharwal (Deputy Director, Nasscom) stressed the need for enhancing technical capabilities in parlance with the evolving need and Mr. Sharma's assurance on adequate steps being initiated to expedite the processes, came as a relief.

The interactive session on global mobility issues and challenges with Jasbir Kochar (Tata Steel), Vaishali Ahuja (BMW India), R Mahalakshmi (Bharti Group), Devender Singh (GlaxoSmithKline) and Dharmesh Kothari (Genpact) highlighted the need of collective working of HR & tax professionals to ensure greater success rate, while also emphasized on being empathetic towards the employees.

The forum also unanimously realized that tax services like permanent establishment, service tax and so on are intertwined with global mobility issues, during the session with Harishanker Subramaniam, Ganesh Raj and Vijay Iyer, national leaders of various tax sub services in EY.
