This year EY in the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania celebrates a very important milestone – its 20th anniversary!

Jonas AkelisJonas Akelis, EY Managing Partner for the Baltic States, said "We’ve come a long way since 1992 when our first office opened its doors on Elizabetes Street 2 in Riga, Latvia, with several professionals providing audit and tax business services. The offices in Estonia and Lithuania were opened shortly afterwards. Back in 1992 we were the first of the global accounting firms (Big 6 back then) to open up its practice in the young Baltic States. In 1993 we were the first to offer advisory business services.

We gained the trust of our clients and built a reputation of strong professionals in the market. Our team grew quickly; our services developed and became diversified. Today we offer our clients assurance, tax, transaction, compliance and reporting, and advisory services. I am proud of our history and of what we are now – a strong team of professionals who have made EY number one on the Baltic market. Our more than 500 professionals in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania equipped with deep industry knowledge in various market sectors and the best practice tools deliver seamless, consistent and high-quality professional services to public and private sector clients and NGOs.
