David Griffiths


Dave is a Wellington based partner with over 20 years' taxation consulting and transaction advisory experience.

Previous experience

Dave has a particular interest in infrastructural asset-owning businesses, and advises and audits some of New Zealand’s largest infrastructure companies. He has advised consortiums, and participants on, or acted in the capacity of an independent partner on, the Government’s ultra fast broadband initiative, the Hobsonville School and Wiri Prison public private partnerships. Dave also takes a close interest in the primary sector advising major farming, forestry and fishing businesses. Dave’s clients include wholly New Zealand domestic businesses, New Zealand businesses with foreign operations subject to New Zealand international taxation regime and foreign-owned businesses.


Dave holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (Victoria University). He is an alumnus of the EY Executive Programme (2005), (Darden Business School), a Member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountant’s College of Chartered Accountants and Member of the Board of Trustees of Muritai School


Dave enjoys mountain biking, road biking and involving himself in his children’s sport.
