Friday 6 June 2014 - Fifteen journalists have been named as finalists in EY New Zealand’s inaugural Business Journalism Awards.

A total of 43 entries were received for the awards, with journalists invited to enter in five categories: news, features, commentary, radio and young (fewer than three years’ journalism experience).

Five category winners will now be selected from the 15 finalists, along with an overall winner who will become the EY New Zealand Business Journalist of the Year.

Cash prizes of $1000 for each category winner, and $3000 cash for the overall winner, will be presented at a cocktail function at EY’s Auckland offices on Thursday 19 June. This will be hosted by New Zealand managing partner Simon O’Connor.
