World Economic Forum 2013
Globalization and new opportunities for growth
The 2013 World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting, 20-26 January, Davos, Switzerland, convenes under the theme Resilient Dynamism. In that context, participants will explore strategies for growth in an era of economic uncertainly and complexity.
Prospering in a globally integrated environment requires constant refinement of global business strategies. The Annual Meeting provides an important platform for global business leaders to shape global, regional, industry and business agendas.
The EY delegation contributing to this year’s forum includes: James S. Turley, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mark Weinberger, Chairman & CEO-elect, John F. Ferraro, Global Chief Operating Officer, Beth A. Brooke, Global Vice-Chair, Public Policy, Mark D. Otty, Area Managing Partner, Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa, Rajiv Memani, Country Managing Partner, India, and Maria Pinelli, Global Vice Chair, Growth Markets.
EY CIS is represented by Karl Johansson, CIS Managing Partner, and Alexander Ivlev, Country Managing Partner, Russia.
A strong EY delegation traditionally plays a high-profile role in the WEF Annual Meeting.
This year James Turley was a discussion leader at the private session Scenarios for Russia and spoke on G20 Outlook session together with Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister of Russia.
Also, during the WEF EY traditionally organized a Breakfast for EOY Alumni and Friends. Tony Blair, the former Prime Minister of Great Britain, was the keynote speaker at the event.
On 25 January, jointly with Forbes, EY will host the annual private reception Celebrating Women’s Leadership, highlighting the critical role women play in shaping and advancing the global economy.
EY also takes an active part in the various Russia-related events, including B20 activities.
