The outlook for IPOs looks bright. Rising investor confidence and improved market fundamentals have contributed to larger deal numbers and values this year compared to 2012. Building on this momentum, 2014 IPOs is off to a solid start.

Similar positive sentiments resonate with corporates in Southeast Asia, as our latest Capital Confidence Barometer revealed that they are looking at both acquisitions and organic means to pursue growth. Meanwhile, in the Eurozone, there are signs of recession retreating, but businesses must remain vigilant and plan for the long term to address a changing market.

Talent will no doubt be a differentiator in gearing for greater business success. We present two reports focusing on how diversity in teaming and leadership can drive corporate performance.

Lastly, we end this issue with an in-depth look at the private equity trends impacting the real estate and the oil and gas industries. As well, we take a look at the asset management industry where our annual survey found that hedge fund managers will have to invest heavily in new strategies and products, and develop additional distribution network, to secure growth.

As usual, if you have any feedback or business enquiries, please feel free to email us.

With this, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
