EY appoints partner to lead Tech drive in growing UK legal team

EY has announced the appointment of Richard Goold to its UK legal services business. Richard will be joining EY as a partner to lead and grow a legal Tech team and continue to support the firm’s wider Tech and FinTech practice.

Richard is currently Co-Chair of Tech at Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co and was previously head of the firm’s US sales team. He has been working in the Tech and FinTech markets for over 10 years and has extensive experience of advising companies and investors across Europe and the US. Richard is expected to join EY in the spring.

Commenting on Richard’s appointment, Philip Goodstone, head of EY’s UKI legal services team said: “Richard is a fantastic appointment and will be a real asset to the team. Our ambition has always been to grow our UK legal services practice around some of the key sectors where EY already has a wealth of experience. Richard’s appointment marks a key step towards achieving this strategy. He is a rising star in the Tech sector and is well known in the FinTech market.”
