EY announces Brian Rotolo as managing partner of growing Louisiana practice
New Orleans, 5 July 2017
Ernst & Young LLP announces the appointment of Brian Rotolo as Managing Partner of the firm’s Louisiana practice effective July 1, 2017. As the firm continues to expand its local service offerings, which includes service to clients in both Louisiana and Mississippi, Brian is primed to lead this growth. He will oversee delivery of the highest level of quality service to clients and will work with local and regional leaders to maintain a positive work environment for the nearly 200 Louisiana-based EY professionals.
“EY is committed to growth, both in our clients and our people, and I am honored to lead our local efforts in moving that mission forward,” Rotolo said. “Locally, we plan to expand our offerings for current and future clients as well as continue to recruit and retain the highest-quality people. Keys to our success will be continuing to provide exceptional client service, giving our time and talents to the communities in which we work and live, promoting work balance and flexibility as well as expanding learning opportunities for our people.”
With more than 25 years in the accounting industry and at Ernst & Young LLP in New Orleans, Brian has focused his career on serving companies in the energy, construction, consumer products and financial services industries. He has extensive experience in acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, SEC filings, and with IPOs and public offerings of debt and equity securities.
Brian succeeds Bob Kimbro, who led the Louisiana practice for 12 years, growing it from 135 people in 2005 to the nearly 200 today and opening EY’s Lafayette office. Bob is planning on retiring from EY in June 2018 after 15 years since joining the firm in 2002.
“Bob has truly made his mark not only on our offices in New Orleans and Lafayette, which have grown substantially under his leadership, but on the entire local business community,” said Randy Cain, Southwest Region Managing Partner, Ernst & Young LLP. “As the incoming leader, Brian is uniquely qualified to build upon the momentum of the firm’s already well-established local presence. Throughout his tenure with the firm and as an Assurance Partner, Brian has developed an exceptional track record with clients and firm employees due to his leadership and expertise. His exceptional client service and commitment to the Louisiana community truly embody EY’s purpose of building a better working world.”
Brian was born and raised in Louisiana and is deeply entrenched in the community through his roles with Providence Community Housing, Catholic Charities of New Orleans, the Fore!Kids Foundation and LSU’s Accounting Advisory Board. He earned his bachelor of science in accounting at the University of New Orleans.
Brian is a certified public accountant (CPA) in Louisiana and in Mississippi. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Louisiana Society of CPAs.
