The Stevie Awards, organizers of the world’s premier business awards programs, will recognize winners at the 15th Annual American Business Awards gala event on Tuesday, June 20, at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York.
More than 190 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s American Business Award winners. More than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.
“It’s an honor to work with a talented team of people who challenge themselves every day to lead the curve on delivering exceptional client service and high performance teaming,” said Kate Barton, EY Americas Vice Chair of Tax Services. “My role is to support every one of those efforts and to celebrate them for their success and recognition.”
EY Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Innovation – Gold Winner – Innovation of the Year – Business Service Industries
“As futuristic as ‘robotics’ might sound, tax professionals are beginning to use this technology today,” said Sharda Cherwoo, EY Americas Tax - Intelligent Automation Leader. “RPA is gaining ground among tax professionals due to its ability to deliver measurable benefits in a relatively brief period of time. This innovation award is a ‘win’ for everyone, and we are further energized by this recognition.”
EY is the leading global adviser in future-of-work strategies and processes. By combining RPA technology and extensive tax proficiency with a global team of more than 1,000 robotic engineers and analysts, EY firms are deploying fresh solutions at an unrivaled level of productivity. Over the past 18 months, EY innovation in RPA has embedded more than 200 BOTs in the organization’s extensive tax practices, dramatically improving more than 300 key business processes and touching 50,000+ clients. Over the past year, RPA has evolved into much more than a breakthrough service and efficiency tool. In addition to its technological prowess, RPA supports the organization’s optimistic view that accelerating technological innovation provides a means to even higher quality work, more exceptional client service and new and exciting opportunities for its professionals.
“At EY, we’re embracing the accelerated pace of technological innovation, viewing it as an opportunity to have BOTs handle mundane, repetitive tasks while freeing-up the time of our talented professionals to focus on higher-level, higher-value work,” says Martin Fiore, EY Americas Tax Talent Leader. “Adoption of Robotic Process Automation also enables us to explore other future-of-work strategies that align people and technology in the workplace and enable us to upskill our professionals for the business demands of the next five to 10 years.”
