Bourne honored with 12 other industry leaders as one of the 2017 Women Leaders in Consulting
Consulting Magazine announced its 2017 Women Leaders in Consulting, which recognizes the profound impact female consultants are making with their companies and clients. Anna Bourne of Ernst & Young, LLP was honored for her outstanding leadership, receiving the highly coveted Excellence in Leadership award.
As EY Americas Advisory Talent Leader, Bourne is responsible for innovating and leading programs designed to enable 40,000 of Advisory’s better-connected consultants across the Americas to achieve their individual career goals while delivering exemplary client service in this Transformative Age. Among her 30 years of experience, Bourne previously served as the leader of the Risk practice throughout the U.S. Northeast and Southeast regions. She was responsible for client service, business development, people and quality matters.
“During her time with EY, Anna has made great strides in creating an open, inclusive work environment with a culture of caring to inspire our people and drive the development of the highest performing teams,” said Hank Prybylski, EY Americas Vice Chair of Advisory Services. “Anna has a unique ability to understand the needs of the workforce, providing engaging career opportunities that connect our personnel to our purpose and distinguish her as a valued leader.”
As an inspiring and innovative leader, Bourne focuses on reimagining talent in a time of disruption and unprecedented business change to develop new ways of building a better working world. She has sparked fresh approaches to reverse mentoring and created "My why, My story" to jumpstart purpose-led activation with EY people.
“I am passionate about creating a diverse and connected workforce to cultivate the EY culture, shape tomorrow's leaders and deliver exceptional client service. This award confirms the importance of that mission,” said Bourne. “I am honored to be acknowledged among this extraordinary group of women.”
Bourne’s willingness to embrace change and create positive momentum earned her the EY Chairman’s Values Award in 2006, honoring individuals who exemplify organizational values and stand out as role models. She also co-founded the Women’s Chief Auditor Executive Network in the Americas in 2009 and is a frequent contributor to the organization’s thought leadership platforms.
Bourne is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the states of New York, Illinois and Georgia, and also completed an executive program from both Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and Harvard.
