Our 2015 webcast participants provided valuable feedback about three of the year’s hot topics: Affordable Care Act information reporting, organizational focus on unemployment insurance costs and multi-state tax compliance and the frequency that earnings and deduction code reviews are conducted.
Here’s what we learned:*
- Just 58% of responders say they are prepared to meet the new Affordable Care Act reporting requirements. The remaining respondents have not yet tested their systems or are still deciding on a vendor.
- An overwhelming majority of responders (78%) either review their pay and deduction code tax setups every year or have done so in the last three years, leaving 23% of respondents who have never performed this review or have done so more than three years ago.
- More than half of responders (55%) give average to high focus to their unemployment insurance costs, with 15% stating that this area has significantly more focus now than in previous years.
- An overwhelming majority (77%) give average to high focus on multi-state payroll tax compliance, with 31% stating that this area has significantly more focus now than in previous years.
