Financial Services Strategic Forum - Lagos and Nairobi

  • Share

The financial services market in Eastern and Western Africa continues to grow at a rapid pace. This growth can be attributed to a number of factors including the stable political and business environment, the ongoing successful deployment of mobile services, and the significant market opportunities that a large unbanked population offers to financial services companies.

Given this rapid growth, new business opportunities are quickly emerging for banks and insurance companies in the eastern and Western regions. The challenge for companies in these regions is how to keep pace with the evolving regulatory changes and the increasing domestic, regional and international competition.  In critical areas where companies are already leaders, the key question is how to maintain and capitalise on these leadership positions.

Ernst & Young has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to the African business community. Recently, the global firm has established our Africa Investment Plan which is being used to make significant investments across the Continent. A key goal of the investment plan is to leverage our leading global financial services capability into Africa.

As part of this investment, Ernst & Young invites you to participate in our Financial Services Strategic Forum which will be held in Nairobi, Kenya on 13 May 2013 and in Lagos, Nigeria on 16 May 2013. These events are aimed at exploring both the impact of the current market and regulatory changes and the future opportunities available to the financial services industry in the region.
