P.A. Eleni Loizou
Introduction: Eirinikos is the founding partner of both Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership, based in Athens, and the associated law firm of EY in Bucharest. He has an extensive corporate experience, being the preferred legal counsel of big corporations and financial institutions in projects with cross-border aspects, as well as in post-acquisition and financial restructurings. He has acted on behalf of clients in negotiations with commercial counterparts and local authorities.
Eirinikos has led complex projects of international organizations, such as World Bank and EBRD. Furthermore, he has been entrusted, along with six prominent businessmen, with the task of organizing the Greek Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and following incorporation, has been appointed as the latter’s legal counsel.
Previous Experience: Prior joining the firm, Eirinikos worked at an international commercial law firm, in London.
Credentials: Eirinikos holds the Magister Juris degree from the University of Oxford (Lillian Voudouris Foundation scholarship) and the LL.B. degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (DAAD scholarship). In addition, he is a member of the Piraeus Bar Association and of the Bucharest Bar Association.

Introduction: Tassos is a Partner within the EY Business Advisory Solutions, leader of Law, Tax Controversy & Litigation and of the Indirect Tax Practice at EY Greece, with more than twenty two years of tax and legal experience. He is a founding Partner at Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership, the associate regional law firm of EY Greece.
Tassos has an extensive experience in the field of Corporate Law, Corporate Tax and Indirect Tax. He provides business tax and legal advisory services, structuring and planning, pre and post-acquisition advice on various acquisitions and restructurings of Greek major enterprises. Tassos has undertaken a wide range of tax and legal assignments, advising large Greek subsidiaries of multinational companies or Greek listed or non-listed multinational companies.
Previous Experience: In 1995, Tassos worked for one year at a Law Firm and, from 1997 to 2002, at Arthur Andersen. Tassos joined EY Greece in 2002.
Credentials: Tassos qualified as a lawyer in 1994. He studied at the University College London (LL.M. in Tax and Corporate Law, 1995) and at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (degree in law obtained in 1992).
Community activities: Tassos has provided various seminars to clients, professional bodies, Chamber of Commerce in subjects like VAT (new place of supply rules), Transfer Pricing (new Transfer Pricing Documentation rules in Greece), and other tax topics (Tax certification rules, updates of new Tax and legal developments etc.).

Alexandra Balta

Introduction: Alexandra is experienced in corporate, commercial and banking law, providing legal support and counseling services to credit and financial institutions as well as international and domestic corporations. She advises clients on their entry into the Greek market and provides support with respect to the incorporation of entities and their daily corporate & business needs. She has assisted in closing transactions that include sale and acquisition of companies, as well as projects of portfolio purchase. She has also demonstrated experience in complex project finance and NPL’s restructuring. Alexandra joined Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership in 2018.
Previous Experience: Prior to joining Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership, Alexandra was a Senior Associate Lawyer at a prominent Athens-based Law Firm.
Credentials: She holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from the Law School of Athens (LL.B., 2010), and a master’s degree in Business Law from Université Paris II –Panthéon Assas (Master 2 recherche, 2012). She is a member of the Athens Bar Association since 2013.
Angeliki Boletsi

Introduction: Angeliki focuses on Data Protection, Intellectual Property law and Competition Law and pertains to the IP/IT practice group. She offers both litigation and advisory services in a wide spectrum of areas, including data protection, Trademarks, as well-as e-commerce and IT projects. In this respect, she provides legal advice to both domestic and international clients, ensuring their GDPR compliance, reviewing and amending commercial agreements, as well as participating in due diligence procedures.
Previous Experience: Before joining Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership, Angeliki worked as a trainee lawyer in a top-tier corporate law firm in Athens, with a focus on competition and IP law.
Credentials: Angeliki has a degree in Law from the Faculty of Law from the Democritus University of Thrace (LL.B, 2015) and an LL.M in IT & IP Law from the London School of Economics. (LL.M, 2018).
She was admitted to the Athens Bar in 2018.
Antonios Broumas

Introduction: Antonios is a technology lawyer with more than ten years of practice in the sectors of electronic communications and media law, IT and e-commerce law, intellectual property law, cybercrime law, data protection and confidentiality of communications law. He joined the firm in 2017 and, since 2006, he is a member of the Athens Bar Association, admitted to the Supreme Court.
Previous Experience: Prior to joining Platis – Anastassiadis and Associates Law Partnership, Antonios has been working as an in-house attorney for a major telecommunications company in Greece, where he provided legal support on corporate, electronic communications and antitrust law issues and represented the company before national regulatory authorities. He has also been the managing partner at the Law & Technology legal firm, offering all-round legal services to start-ups and corporations in the Greek technology sector.
Credentials: Antonios holds an LL.B. from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, an LL.M. in IT & Telecoms Law from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and an LL.M. in the Philosophy of Law also from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is also finishing his PhD on intellectual property law at the University of Westminster in London. Antonis has several publications in Greek and international scientific journals and, among others, a contributing chapter in the 2013 Routledge Handbook of Media Law and Policy.
Panos Giannissis

Introduction: Panos is an experienced Banking & Finance lawyer, specialized in the regulatory and supervisory framework of financial institutions, as well as in related fields of interest, such as anti-money laundering and payment services legislation. Panos also advises clients on Capital Markets issues and has been involved in sophisticated deals and transactions in each of the respective fields. Panos was listed in the Top-10 Most Innovative Young Lawyers in Europe by the Financial Times in 2016 in the prestigious FT Innovative Lawyers publication.
Previous Experience: Before joining Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership in 2019, Panos worked for a Greek financial institution, serving as legal counsel and compliance officer. Previously, he had worked for two Greek boutique law firms, advising clients on Banking and Capital Markets issues, as well as successfully representing them in litigation proceedings.
Credentials: Panos holds an LL.B. from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Faculty of Law, 2013) and a M.Sc. in Banking and Finance from the University of Piraeus (2016). Panos has also received executive education in Negotiations & Organizational Conflict Resolution from Harvard University and in Business Management from the University of Athens. Since 2015, he is member of the Athens Bar Association, where he ranked 1st in the licensing written examination.
Maria Gkatzou

Introduction: Maria is specializing in employment and social security law. She has extensive experience in providing advisory services related to the legal and regulatory framework governing the whole spectrum of employment and social security law. She is, also, experienced in representing clients during employment law litigation procedures. She is involved in drafting legal documents and participating in legal due diligence processes.
Previous Experience:Prior to joining Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership, Maria was an Associate Lawyer at a prominent Athens-based Law Firm.
Credentials:She holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from the Law School of Athens (LL.B., 2010 – 2014), and a master’s degree in Labour Law from the same university (LL.M., 2015 – 2017). She is a member of the Athens Bar Association since 2014.
Charalampos Kotios

Introduction: Charalampos is an Attorney at law, primarily engaged in matters of Commercial, Corporate and Civil Law. He joined Platis-Anastassiadis Law Partnership as an Associate in 2017 and is a member of the Piraeus Bar Association since 2013.
Previous Experience: Charalampos has worked as a trainee lawyer in a major maritime law firm in Piraeus. His primary tasks included civil litigation as well as counselling in matters of Corporate, Banking, Financial Markets and Maritime Law. He has also as an associate lawyer in civil and commercial litigation in a top-tier law office in Athens.
Credentials: Charalampos holds a Degree in Law from the University of Athens (2011), an LL.M. from the University of Munich (2014) and a M.Sc. in Law and Economics from the University of Piraeus (2017). He is also a PhD Candidate of the Law School of Athens since 2016; his thesis focuses in the Economic Analysis of Financial Contracts Law.
Maria-Eleni Kougiatsou

Introduction: Maria-Eleni focuses on corporate and commercial law. She provides legal advice to both domestic and international clients with regard to their daily business operations, including drafting commercial agreements and corporate documents, participating in due diligence procedures, as well as advising on compliance with applicable regulations in a variety of industry sectors. Maria-Eleni is also part of the consumer protection and competition law team of the firm.
Previous Experience: Before joining Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership, Maria-Eleni worked in a major corporate law firm in Athens, with a focus on commercial and IP law.
Credentials: Maria-Eleni has a degree in Law from the Faculty of Law from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (LL.B, 2015) and a LL.M in International Commercial Law from the City, University of London Law School. (LL.M, 2017). In 2018, she was awarded the Certificate in Corporate Law and Finance from the University of Piraeus.

Vassiliki Lagari

Introduction: Vassiliki has been engaged in the banking field since 2011. She has dealt with enforcement procedures, insurance meditation, internet and corporate banking. She has been engaged in big M&A projects, such as the merger of Geniki Bank with Piraeus Bank, PDS’ spin-off, increases of share capitals etc.
Previous Experience: Before joining Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership in 2018, Vassiliki worked for Piraeus Bank SA as a legal counsel in several fields of banking, such as corporate and internet banking.
Credentials: Vassiliki has an LL.B. from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Faculty of Law, 2014) and an MSc. from the University of Piraeus, on Law and Economics (2016). She is member of the Athens Bar Association, since 2016
Pagona-Maria (Paola) Mammou

Introduction: Pagona-Maria is a corporate lawyer specializing in corporate, commercial and labor law. She has also extensive experience in liquidation practice, bankruptcy law and representing corporate clients in dept recovery proceedings.
Previous Experience: Prior to joining EY Law in 2018, Pagona-Maria has worked for a top-tier Athens-based law firm, handling a diverse portfolio of corporate, commercial, banking and employment law cases and has serviced a wide range of corporate clients, dealing with all companies litigation all the matters of their day-to-day business.
Credentials: Having graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a degree in Law, Pagona-Maria holds an M.Sc. from the University of Piraeus, Department of Banking & Financial Management, titled “Financial and Institutional framework of money and capital markets”.
She a lawyer before Appeal Court, and member of the Athens Bar Association since July 2009. Her working languages are English and French.
Vassileios Mavrommatis

Introduction: Vassilis has more than nine years of experience in finance, banking and capital markets law. He is also specialized in NPL’s legislation, securitizations on public and private sector, and in providing legal advice on regulatory compliance issues. Vassilis serves a number of credit and financial institutions, has been involved in the special liquidation of three cooperative banks and has also participated in teams, acting as legal counsel to the Greek Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Public Debt Management Agency and the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks.
Previous Experience: Before joining Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership in 2012, Vassilis worked for a top-tier Greek law firm in the fields of banking and finance.
Credentials: Vassilis has an LL.B. from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Faculty of Law, 2005) and an LL.M. from the University of Manchester, on International Business Law (2006). Since 2008, he is member of the Athens Bar Association and a founding member of the first Association of Compliance Professionals in Greece (2016). Evangelia Nikolopoulou

Introduction: Evangelia has seven years of experience in insolvency procedures such as special liquidation and special administration processes. She also has considerable experience in handling a wide range of cases, especially concerning civil and commercial law, with emphasis on issues of Corporate Law. Her main areas of expertise extend to representing companies in courts as well as administrative and public authorities. She also handles a variety of legal matters, including real estate projects, negotiations and conclusion of a wide range of legal and corporate documentation such as business agreements, project contracts and settlement agreements. She joined Platis-Anastassiadis Law Partnership in 2017.
Previous Experience: Before joining Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership, Evangelia has been working as an in-house lawyer for a major Aviation Company. She also worked as an associate lawyer in a top tier Athens-based law firm, providing legal counseling in civil and commercial law issues.
Credentials: Evangelia has an LL.B. from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Faculty of Law, 2007) and an LL.M. from the above University on Labour Law (2013). Martha Ntounou

Introduction: Martha focuses on corporate and commercial law. She has handled several cases of establishment of corporations and she regularly advises international and domestic clients on their business operations (supply contracts, commercial co-operation agreements, franchise agreements, retail contracts, lease agreements etc.). Moreover, she provides support with respect to issues arising from clients’ day-to-day corporate needs, including corporate minutes, BoD residence permits, business contracts, dispute resolution arising from their related activities, as well as advice on general compliance and regulatory issues etc.
Previous Experience: Before joining Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership, Martha worked as an in-house lawyer for a leading food company.
Credentials: Martha has a degree in Law from the Faculty of Law from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (LL.B., 2011) and a M.Sc. in Business for Lawyers from the ALBA Graduate Business School (M.Sc., 2014). She was admitted to the Athens Bar Association in 2014.
Georgios Orfanopoulos

Introduction: Georgios is an intern within the firm Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership. His responsibilities include conducting of legal research, appearing before Courts and administrative authorities, actively engaging with other lawyers and professionals of the EY network.
His work is focused on commercial, corporate and employment law. He is also engaged in public procurement projects.

Katerini Papathanasiou

Introduction: Katerini is an experienced Data Protection and Information Technology lawyer. She gives advice on local and international clients from a wide range of industries on data protection and privacy issues, assuring their compliance with GDPR, reviewing and amending their contracts, drafting their privacy notices/policies and their Terms and Conditions.
She is responsible to provide consultation on IT, e-commerce and marketing/advertising legal matters of our Clients. She is performance driven and has a solid background in negotiating technology contracts and software licenses.
Previous Experience: Prior joining EY Law in 2018, Katerini has worked as a Legal Counsel in Dublin at a leading marketing company with a global presence, assuring compliance with data protection laws and marketing/advertising industry standards. She has also worked at a top tier consulting company as an Advisor on software licenses and debt recovery.
Credentials: Katerini holds an LL.B from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, an LLM in “International & European Business Law” from Ludwig’s University of Munich and a Diploma in Intellectual Property and Information Technology from the Law Society of Ireland. She is a lawyer before Appeal Court, and member of the Athens Bar Association since October 2010.

Introduction: Maria is specializing in employment and social security law. She has sixteen years of professional experience in employment and social security law. Her sector expertise includes companies active in retail, HR, public sector, banking, construction and production. Her dedicated labour practice includes representing clients during employment law litigation procedures, relationship with employee’s representatives (work councils & trade unions), providing advisory services related to collective and individual remuneration policy, corporate reorganizations, individual and collective dismissal procedures. Maria is also responsible for coordinating the employment law teams of EY Central and Southeast Europe. She joined Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership in 2008.
Previous Experience: Prior joining Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership, she was a partner of a boutique employment law firm.
Credentials: Maria has graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (LL.B., 2000). She holds an LL.M. in Labor Relations (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, 2004) and an LL.M. degree in HR Relations (Athens University of Economics and Business, 2010).

Athina Siafarika

Introduction: Athina is an associate, specializing in corporate law, restructuring and financial services. She has significant experience in advising clients in relation to financial services, in terms of both their regulatory and supervisory framework, while she is involved in the restructuring process of major Greek companies. Athina joined Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership in 2017.
Previous Experience: Prior to joining Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership, she was an associate at an Athens-based international law firm, while she has also acted as a competition law practitioner for the European Commission and a top-tier international law firm in Brussels.
Credentials: Athina holds the Magister Juris degree awarded by the University of Oxford (UK) with a specialization in Corporate Finance Law and Financial Regulation (2013) and an LL.M. awarded by the Law School of Athens in Civil and Comparative Law (2012), while she graduated with highest honors from the Law School of Athens (2011). Athina is a member of the Athens Bar Association since 2014.

Natalia Soulia

Introduction: Natalia is a lawyer specializing in Data Protection, Intellectual Property and Competition Law and is a member of the EY Law IP/IT practice group. In this respect, she undertakes both litigation and advisory work in a wide range of areas, including privacy and data protection, IP rights’ protection and licensing, IPR portfolio management, e-commerce, technology and IT projects.
Previous Experience: Prior to joining EY Law in 2018, Natalia has worked as a corporate law practitioner in an Athens-based Law firm. Added to that, she has gained international experience at the field of Intellectual Property through her legal traineeship with the European Commission at the Intellectual Property Department and has developed expertise in Tax Law by working at the International Tax Department of EY Greece.
Credentials: Having graduated from the University of Athens with a degree in Law (2012), Natalia holds a Master’s Degree in European and International Business Law from the University of Munich (2014), followed by a Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property and Competition Law, awarded by LSE (2015).
She was admitted to the Athens Bar Association in 2016.

Lia Vitzilaiou

Introduction: Lia is a Corporate & Commercial lawyer, with a competition law background. She is experienced in merger and acquisition transactions, antitrust litigation and compliance, commercial arbitration, project finance and PPPs. She joined the firm in 2017 and she is a member of the Athens Bar Association since 2007.
Previous Experience: Prior to joining Platis – Anastassiadis and Associates Law Partnership, she has been working in major law firms in London, Madrid and Athens, where she provided legal advice on a wide range of corporate, commercial and antitrust issues, including negotiation, drafting and execution of complex commercial transactions and merger filings. She has also wide experience in commercial litigation and has represented clients in domestic and international ICC arbitrations as well as before the Hellenic Competition Commission.
