Assurance careers: broaden your experience

The timely and relevant financial information provided by EY’s Assurance teams is essential to global economic health and sustainable growth. Our work helps to restore and maintain public confidence in the world’s capital markets and ensure that the fundamentals are in place for businesses to move forward.

EY is one of the most trusted, respected and influential organisations in the assurance industry, with long standing and deep client relationships that you can leverage to build your own network.

As an assurance professional with EY, you’ll have access to the latest accounting and auditing information, follow a global audit methodology, and use leading audit support tools. You’ll provide advice that will enable clients to make more informed and better decisions to reduce risk. You’ll gain exposure, learn new skills, and build relationships that will open doors for you, throughout your professional life.

If you’re experienced in one of the following, we’re very interested in hearing from you.

Giving a clear picture of business

As an audit professional, you’ll independently verify our clients’ compliance with accounting principles, helping these businesses to accurately reflect their financial picture – in turn, protecting financial markets. Your exposure to one of the largest and most diverse client portfolios in Australia will deepen your knowledge of different industry sectors and broaden your general business acumen.

Part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll also help your clients respond to regulatory reforms, manage the capital life cycle and improve business operations.

Play a sustainable role

As a climate change and sustainability professional, you’ll guide your clients as they navigate climate change and sustainability issues. You’ll help them to understand business and regulatory threats and opportunities, and explore and help to execute commercial transactions.

You’ll work strategically with clients to help them balance risks, take advantage of opportunities and achieve their goals in a changing world.

Keep pace with change

As a financial accounting advisor, you’ll help your clients to deal with complex changes, including: IFRS conversion, mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs and IPOs. In this highly varied role, you’ll go from advising on how to convert from GAAP reporting to IFRS to assisting with due diligence on transactions.

Understanding and managing fraud risk

As a Forensic & Integrity Services professional, you’ll help your clients to deal with the complex issues of fraud, regulatory compliance and business disputes that could otherwise detract from client efforts to achieve their company’s goals. You’ll develop fraud assessment, monitoring and prevention capabilities, helping organisations to manage fraud risk more effectively.
