Within our Assurance practice, we look for students with an accounting major so that you can commence the Chartered Accounting Program shortly after joining EY.

Tax

In Tax, we recruit students from a wide range of backgrounds. Many students who join Tax come from a commerce/business or law and accounting background. If you’re studying economics, you could consider career opportunities in Transfer Pricing.

We also look for students studying engineering, science, computer science and information technology in Research and Development.

Advisory

Our Advisory Service Line is interested in students from all degree backgrounds including business, commerce, engineering, technology, science, human resources, organisational psychology and law. Within Advisory, you may join the Advisory Consultant Group (ACG) where you will focus on either Risk or Performance Improvement. In Assurance, the majority of students who join our service line have an accounting major. However, we also consider students studying commerce, economics and finance (including dual degrees in IT, Engineering, and Mathematics). You are required to complete your Chartered Accounting qualification to work in Assurance so if you do not have an accounting major, we will support you to complete the Graduate Certificate of Chartered Accounting Foundations prior to commencing the Chartered Accounting Program.

Within Assurance, you can also apply for positions within our Climate Change & Sustainability Services area if you are studying climate change/sustainability, civil/environmental engineering or environmental science.

Our Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services team looks for students who may have a forensic accounting/investigations background or those studying a combined legal/criminology and accounting degrees.

In Tax, we recruit students from a wide range of backgrounds. If you’re studying accounting, business, commerce, economics, finance or law you could consider career opportunities in Corporate Tax, Indirect Tax, Financial Services Office, Private Client Services and Transfer Pricing.

Our Tax - People Advisory Services team will be looking for students studying business, commerce, law, psychology, data analytics, human resources and mathematics for Reward. Students studying business, accounting, commerce, economics, finance, law, international business or human resources could consider career opportunities in Global Mobility and Employment Taxes.

We also look for students studying engineering, science, information systems and information technology in Research and Development and other teams within our Tax practice.

We also look for students studying science, technology, engineering and mathematics or combined commerce degrees in Corporate Tax, Indirect Tax, People Advisory Services and Research & Development.

Within Law, we look for students studying a law degree who have an interest in taxation law, succession and estate planning, and commercial law.
