ZapFloor and EY Subsidia: A match made in heaven
EY Subsidia assisted ZapFloor in obtaining over € 200.000 of regional government funding, which will be used to accelerate the development of their ultimate workspace management platform ZapFloorHQ.
Together, the Subsidia and ZapFloor teams created, submitted and defended a strong proposal clearly describing the challenges, solutions, effort and market opportunities related to these developments.
ZapFloorHQ: The ultimate workspace management platform
ZapFloor, founded by Thomas Celen and Wouter Schoofs and located in the heart of Antwerp, is building the ultimate management platform for your flexible workspace, business center, or coworking space. This platform, dubbed ZapFloorHQ, covers everything you need to efficiently manage your workfloors - so you can focus on what really matters: your community, your people.
ZapFloorHQ has it all. By connecting with your favourite hardware and software, it can provide you with powerful insights, showing all the real-time data you need from different sources in one comprehensive overview. Invoices are generated and payments are tracked automatically, and you can interact with your tenants through chat, notice boards and event calendars. ZapFloorHQ integrates all your apps and devices, so you can manage meeting rooms, printers, smart locks, and much more.
Government funding to accelerate development
Supported by EY Subsidia, ZapFloor applied for regional funding at Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Together, we discussed and worked out the details of the business case and the work plan, the market size, structure and impact, and the required effort, budget and timing for the project. The Subsidia team also assisted ZapFloor throughout the evaluation process, from the moment the proposal was submitted up to the final decision.
The Flemish government decided to award ZapFloor with € 230.000 in government funding, enabling them to greatly accelerate their development efforts. The company will be able to integrate additonal hardware and software types into the platform, and perfect the architecture to make it robust, scalable and future-proof.
The government funding we received created an enormous leverage to accelerate our growth, develop new innovations and create important partnerships. We were able to quadruple our revenue and are currently hiring 8 new people in development, sales, business development and customer success. Thanks to EY Subsidia, the application process went very smoothly and they were always easily addressable when we had questions. We have several new projects in the pipeline and look forward to work together again!
