Global Delivery Services (GDS) consists of various service delivery centers from which our Client Service and Enablement Services teams operate to deliver strategic support to our EY member firms. GDS spans all geographies, practices, services lines, sectors and competencies within EY to deliver deeply-integrated services that result in efficient and world-class solutions.

Today, the GDS team is 29,500 strong across five countries and plays an important role in EY’s growth strategy by providing efficient and effective support to our service lines and enablement functions. What can I do here?

From its center in Dalian, GDS China employs professionals in Assurance and Tax support services to clients in Greater China, and Core Business Services support through Finance & Accounting, Talent Services and IT Operations to EY member firms across Asia Pacific and Japan. Our services cover EY offices in 19 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, in 7 languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and Cantonese, and we are dedicated to offering high quality and value-added support to our customers with the embedded spirit of exceptional client service.

Our structure:

Client Service

  • In Assurance, you will work with a team of professionals providing assurance support to EY member firms in Greater China, which includes casting, tie-out, roll-forward audit report, sending and calling back confirmations, budget-actual analysis and other assurance related services.
  • The Transfer Pricing, Tax team provides Transfer Pricing support services to EY member firms in Greater China, which includes transfer pricing documentation and appendix (elimination matrix, comparable business description, and comparable financials).
  • People Advisory Services, Tax team’s daily operations include support on payroll services, social benefits administration, income tax and tax efficiency program management.

Enablement Services

  • Finance & Accounting Services provides high quality services to internal customers (EY member firms). Every day the team works with EY offices across Asia-Pacific, handling accounting for EY’s service lines and support functions. Its operations align with global professional standards for customer service. Our people have excellent language skills and substantive knowledge of accounting. In your role, you will be responsible for accounting processes that include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Billing and Collection, Time and Expenses, Customer Relationship Management and Customer Support.
  • Talent Services provides consistent, high quality and operationally efficient HR administration and support services, which include recruitment support, onboarding, workforce administration, learning administration, performance management system support and reporting.
  • IT Services is part of the EY worldwide organization that works with our internal customers, to provide IT support and services to our internal customers, internal support functions and global projects and programs. As part of the IT Services team, you will help maintain and enhance EY’s IT infrastructure and will work for our internal customers across EY. You will work with EY locations, supporting our service lines and key business processes or as part of dedicated IT teams handling cross-organizational initiatives and transformational projects.
  • Creative Agency Services provides trilingual (Chinese, English and Japanese) translation services to EY member firms in Greater China and Japan.

GDS Operations

  • In this area, you will provide operations support to our Client Service and Enablement Services teams, and support the communication needs of the EY network. You will analyze and report on local and EY wide business development and work on project management and business continuity planning.

What is the recruitment process like?

The selection process in GDS China depends on the position for which you apply.

For students:

  • Telephone interview with a Talent Team representative
  • Written tests in our office (professional and language tests)
  • Face-to-face interview with a Talent Team representative
  • Face-to-face line manager interview

For graduates and experienced candidates:

  • Telephone interview with a Talent Team representative

  • Line manager interview in office
  • Skip level line manager interview in office

Our selection process depends on the role for which you are applying and may vary depending on our needs.
