The EY Automotive & Mobility team based in Prague consists of more than 20 internal professionals and various external consultants with backgrounds ranging from retail processes, through dealer staff trainings, to cutting edge solutions for connectivity or e-mobility. We are experienced in close and long-term cooperation with a local OEM, three importers on the Czech market and also more than 100 Czech dealers. Our experience is also used across our immediate region, Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, and Central Asia (“CESA”). The unique cooperation we offer in the role of an independent partner allows us to support you from a fresh & innovative perspective, and we look forward to demonstrating our abilities to you in person.

    Responding to urbanization, changing customer needs, digitization, tightening regulation, and cost-saving pressures is the issue that underpins the need to change the existing distribution chain, while focusing on new sources of revenues, particularly in digital and mobile services. Keeping pace with such changes requires the development of new business models and services at an unprecedented speed.

Corporate mobility optimizer

This is our state of the art solution for improving and optimizing mobility and fleets in companies, based on a deep analysis of the current situation and customer needs.

Our solution is a corporate mobility tool which uses data analytics with GPS tracking to enable your company to optimize fleet and / or mobility spending. Together with a unique gamification concept, we are able to support the reduction of company costs, increase process automation and employee satisfaction, while improving the company CSR and CO2 foot-print by optimizing capacities and resources.

1. Future retail and Corporate identity implementation

Does your network fully understand and accept the new Network strategy?

EY has supported clients in implementing both tangible (a) and intangible (b) elements of corporate identity at all levels of their distribution network (OEM, Importers and Dealers):

a) We have managed more than a thousand dealership re-brandings including activities connected with dealer to dealer installation planning, resolving of issues, conducting corporate identity workshops for importers and quality-control visits to dealerships for final checks.
b) We have trained hundreds of dealership managers and employees to understand and engage with the new business opportunities connected with the new Network development strategy (e.g., net tools, new roles, new approaches).

2. Dealer network performance management

Times are changing; do you have a clear vision on how to support dealer profitability?

Despite strong automotive sales many dealers are suffering from the decreasing profitability of their businesses and becoming dependent on subsidies from OEMs / Importers.

EY has developed and implemented a comprehensive profitability management approach that enables a quick analysis of all of the key parts of a dealership’s business streams and helps identify opportunities for improvements.

3. Development and piloting of new formats

Are you offering your customers a seamless experience during the Sales and After Sales processes while staying profitable?

EY has supported the client in the development of new sales formats, such as shopping malls, pop-up stores or mobile sales forces. We have performed customer segmentation and target definition, definitions of products & services including the respective processes and quantifications of concepts into a business case, uncovering potential inefficiencies and identifying alternative revenue streams. We have also provided step by step guidelines to importers and steered all of the activities related to piloting the new sales formats.

4. Digital tools roll-out

How will you boost sales effectiveness by using an IT app?

The digital era brings new digital customers with significantly different expectations to the dealer – customer experience. EY was in charge of the preparations for a new Digital tools concept: creating and testing different features of mock-up tools versions as well as performing dealer buy-ins by means of training and coaching during roll-out (application, sales process usage, benefits).

5. Dealer staff remuneration

Do you have a clear strategy to effectively motivate and retain your current staff?

The automotive industry is facing a lack of quality employees, a low unemployment rate, th-e different expectations of generation Y and Z, while not understanding how to align people with company motivation. EY is bringing a ready to use approach to dealership staff motivation schemes covering all key dealership employees with different motivation factors, different KPIs and different shares of fixed vs. variable salaries.

6. Development of new mobility concepts

Are you using the opportunity to generate new revenues?

71% of active drivers aged 20 – 60 in the Czech Republic could imagine using a car sharing service. The global automotive industry is responding to concepts such as smart parking, bike sharing, ride sharing amongst many others, but how many such services are accessible in the Central European region? EY has been chosen to support the client with an evaluation of possible mobility concepts, the definition of new revenue streams, the proposal of suitable formats reflecting the overall digital strategy of the client and defining and collecting business requirements while coordinating their implementation. The pilot evaluation proved the suitability of the recommended solution as well as highlighting areas of further potential.
