Levon is a senior manager and the Head of Law Practice for Armenia. A licensed advocate with experience both before national and international courts, Levon combines over 10 years of professional experience in both private and public sectors.
Levon has advised and represented foreign investors and local businesses in Armenia on matters ranging from cross-border M&As, corporate structuring and project finance to strategic litigation, competition law and investor-state disputes. His industry concentrations are infrastructure, mining, banking and finances, telecom and IT.
Prior to joining EY Levon has held a key management role in a tier 1 Armenian law firm. Levon has taught public and international law and private international law at various universities of Armenia and is a frequent speaker on legal developments and the investment environment in Armenia.
Levon holds PHD from Yerevan State University, Faculty of Law. He has an LLM from American University Washington Colleague of Law, as well as Bachelor and Master of Laws degrees from Yerevan State University.
Currently a member of the working group in charge of constitutional amendments in Armenia, he frequently advises the Government and state agencies on legislative reforms. Levon was a member of the working group of the Chamber of Advocates that provided an expert opinion to the 2015 Constitutional Amendments and was appointed by the President of the Republic of Armenia as a member of the Advisory Board in charge of proposing candidates for the vacant position of a judge at the Constitutional Court.
