The report examines the role service providers play in the evolving IoT landscape by assessing and rating the IoT service capabilities of 23 service providers across criteria including innovation, execution and the voice of the customer.

The report cites EY as “an innovative Big 4 organization with considerable experience in IoT, establishing itself as a ready-to-deploy solution provider.” It highlights EY strength in deep sector and domain experience, as well as a IoT Network of Excellence across the globe – which includes 2,700 IoT professionals – that is supported by 36 EY wavespaceTM centers around the world. The report also notes the sector-specific IoT solutions and assets that make up the EY proprietary technologies that can be rapidly implemented to help solve client’s business problems.

The report also notes the development opportunities for EY in consulting-led delivery and the huge prospect to upscale both the depth and breadth of existing scope of client engagements.

Tapati Bandopadhyay, Research Vice President, HFS Research, says:

“In this era of rapidly changing digital transformation, our increasingly connected, data-driven society has never seen greater demand for IoT consulting. The strong EY ecosystem allows for co-innovation and the provision of projects together with other market players, including alliances, bringing a significant competitive advantage.”
