Areas of focus

Rutger is the EY EMEIA Legal Managed Services Leader. Previously, he was the EY Global Corporate and Commercial Law Leader.

He has more than 20 years of experience advising global clients on international corporate and contract law matters in a multi-disciplinary and multi-jurisdictional context. For 10 years, he provided legal services in the US, including four years as managing partner of Donahue and Partners LLP, the foreign law firm in New York that forms part of the EY organization.. He has a special focus on operating model efficiency.

Rutger earned a JD from the University of Amsterdam as well as a Certificate in English Law and an LLM in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick.
