CoViD19- How are Supply chains challenged to change?

A webinar hosted by EY Bulgaria, EY Switzerland and Bulgarian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce.

With the special support of Swiss Embassy in Bulgaria.

The magnitude of the pandemic outbreak that we have and are still experiencing has caught companies and whole industries off guard, with a shockwave of ripple effects tearing through their supply chains and businesses. In numerous industries, demand has dropped substantially or moved to online channels. Many enterprises had or still have disruptions in their logistic hubs and delivery routes due to restricted locations and closures. These impacts have been been hitting companies of all sizes, from small third-tier suppliers to billion-dollar conglomerates, with the likelihood many will not recover for years to come.

This has accelerated a process we were already observing and supply chains changing at an ever-quickening pace. Globalization is now challenged. Regulations will be changing and risk management will be key. Today it is critical for companies to understand how the new trends will impact supply chains and the way they operate in the future. This is why we are willing to have an open discussion on the emerging trends and to see what the nearshoring option would hold for companies in Switzerland.
