Bakyt led global media relations and social media efforts for EY Strategy and Transactions.
As a former finance journalist, he is an advocate of value-driven and purpose-led communications strategies. He advised the senior global corporate finance leadership on external communication strategy: content origination, delivery methods and execution tactics. His marquee programs included the EY Global Capital Confidence Barometer, Global Corporate Divestment Study, Corporate Finance Woman of the Year and Digital Deal Economy.
Bakyt received a master’s degree in Global Business and Finance Journalism from City University, UK and a second master’s in Media Studies and Communication from University of Aarhus, Denmark. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations from American University of Central Asia.
How Bakyt is building a better working world
Bakyt helps young journalists produce television documentaries about diversity and inclusion, and their benefit to the economic prosperity of the society. In addition, he helps youth in Central Asia to study human rights, with a particular focus on women’s rights.
