Bishr is the EY MENA Markets Leader and oversees the 16 countries and 21 offices across the region.
He has been with EY since 2002, and prior to this role, was the managing partner of EY Jordan, Iraq, and Syria.
Bishr has been instrumental in establishing and building EY’s presence in Iraq, and under his leadership, EY has become the largest professional services firm in Jordan and Iraq.
He has sponsored the global Entrepreneur Of The Year program in Jordan since 2011, delivering on the EY purpose to build a better working world by recognizing and celebrating leading entrepreneurs.
He has over 30 years of experience in audit and transaction services covering financial services, telecommunications and government. He has been advising the Government of Iraq on the restructuring of its external debts since 2004.
Bishr holds a BSc in economics and accounting from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Jordan Association of Certified Public Accountants.

I have been a board member of INJAZ Jordan, contributor to King Hussein Cancer Foundation, Tkiyet Um Ali, Institute for Middle East Understanding and others. I have also supported the Entrepreneur of the Year Program in Jordan since 2011 including an entry for emerging entrepreneurs.”
