As EY Canada’s Chief Legal Counsel, Doris is responsible for all legal matters for the firm including litigation, regulatory compliance, governance, contracts, commercial agreements and transactions and employment-related disputes. As a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, Doris is a champion of women in the legal and accounting profession.
She’s a seasoned legal professional who joined EY Canada’s General Counsel's Office in 1988, after practicing corporate and commercial law at a Toronto law firm. She obtained her LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School. She was named Chief Legal Counsel in 2008.
Doris is an active United Way volunteer, member of the United Way’s Greater Toronto Professional Cabinet and is Co-Chair of its Women United initiative. She’s also a member of the Legal Leaders for Diversity (LLD), a group of general counsels in Canada who are actively promoting and practicing diversity within their own departments and in their hiring and purchasing practices.
