EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ China
The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ program honors entrepreneurs who inspire others with their outstanding vision, leadership and achievement.
Here’s to the unstoppable entrepreneurs transforming our world.
Humanity is capable of great things. But to build something of long-term value takes grit, persistence and a sense of ambition that’s free of doubt or fear. It takes a special kind of leader to ignore the critics and transform a blue-sky dream into a new reality that contributes value and purpose beyond simple profits. We call these entrepreneurs the unstoppables — those whose unbounded ambitions deliver innovation, growth and prosperity that transform our world.
The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ China awards program, launched in 2006, is recognized for honoring entrepreneurs who achieve success by combining ability with opportunity. It is part of a global program which helps entrepreneurial businesses in more than 145 cities in over 60 countries and regions.
What makes the EOY program special?
Unlike other business awards which take place at a local or national level, EOY Award winners from around the world will represent their countries or regions vying for the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year (WEOY) title. With much honor, the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year 2009 title went to Cho Tak Wong of Fuyao Glass Industry Group Co., Ltd., the first Chinese ever awarded such title.
Winning the WEOY Award is my most cherished experience in my life. It has allowed me to meet many entrepreneurs from around the world and I have benefited greatly from learning from and communicating with them.
Some of the world’s biggest challenges can be solved through an entrepreneurial spirit and thinking about things differently. When business objectives and the interests of society come together it can be a powerful combination, and it’s important that we do everything we can to improve the communities in which we operate.
