EY Cyprus - Droman Ltd Consortium sign the first two contracts for the institutional reorganisation of the Cyprus Police

EY Cyprus - Droman Ltd Consortium have signed the first two contracts with the Cyprus Police regarding the institutional reorganisation of the Organisation. The two (2) contracts undertaken by the Consortium concern the field of design and implementation of a modern model of policing and operational procedures, as well as the field of technical support for the implementation of the overall project for the Reorganisation and Modernisation of the Cyprus Police.

This is the first time, since the establishment of the Republic of Cyprus, that an institutional restructuring of the Police has been decided to be realised. The project is in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and Public Order and aims to modernise and strengthen the capabilities of the Police force, enabling it to meet the existing, medium and long-term requirements of Cypriot citizens and society.

In a meeting with the Chief of Police, Mr. Stelios Papatheodorou, Consortium representatives, Charalambos Constantinou, Partner and Head of Consulting of EY Cyprus, Sakis Moyseos, Associate Partner and Government Sector Leader, Yiannis Panayiotou, Senior Manager, and Panayiotis Theodorides, Assistant Manager at EY Cyprus, have agreed the immediate next steps for the execution of the two projects. The overall project for the Reorganisation and Modernisation of the Cyprus Police also comprises the projects regarding the design and implementation of a modern learning and development framework for Police members, as well as the design and implementation of a human resource management framework. The two contracts were co-signed by Charalambos Constantinou on behalf of the Consortium, and the Police Director of Finance, Police Officer Costas Avgousti.
