Charalambos is the Managing Partner of Prountzos & Prountzos LLC – EY Law, a leading Cyprus law firm and member firm of EY Global since April 2017. He has been appointed CESA Law Leader in July 2019 and is the leader of the Funds Services of EY in Cyprus.
He studied law at the University of Bristol, concluded the Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law in London and is a Member of Gray’s Inn. He is also a practicing lawyer, a Member of the Cyprus Bar Association and a Board Member of RISE – one of Cyprus’ larger R&I projects. He is also the Chairman of the Open University of Cyprus and a Board Member of the Cyprus Investment Funds Association.
How Charalambos is building a better working world
Charalambos is a leading practitioner in Public Procurement legislation. Through his work and participation in public consultation pre-legislative procedures he has advocated the importance of transparency in public contracts and has battled corruption and favoritism.
He has conducted pro-bono work for Europa Donna Cyprus (The European Breast Cancer Coalition) and is a vocal advocate of gender equality and diversity.
He was one of the pioneers in the development of a competitive electricity market in Cyprus and a leading advisor on renewable energy projects and the adoption of green legislation.
Charalambos was also one of the first partners in Cyprus to embrace and adopt flexible working hours for staff and especially parents.
