    EY-Parthenon Mexico office overview

    EY-Parthenon Mexico’s office was founded in Mexico City in the summer of 2016. In over three years, the office has grown from a team of five to a team of thirty and counting. The office is notable for its entrepreneurial spirit: there is always a new initiative launched by members of the team! Locally, our focus is on the following sectors:

    In the EY-Parthenon Mexico office, we are focused on addressing the critical strategic decisions CEOs and business leaders in our client organizations have to make.

    Our clients engage with us to identify further opportunities for growth and generate a customized approach to address their complex business issues. Our teams connect with the right people and ask the right questions, helping produce actionable strategies that our clients can use to reach their full potential.

    • What educational background is EY-Parthenon Mexico looking for?

      We do not filter applicants by educational background. We welcome candidates who are motivated, enthusiastic, and talented people who combine excellent analytical skills with the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly, and who are capable of original, creative thinking and problem-solving.     • What can I expect when I start working at EY-Parthenon?

      From your first day at EY-Parthenon, you will participate directly on projects or proposals, where you will be making a significant contribution straightaway. In addition, you will regularly receive formal and informal training and feedback. You will be part of a close-knit team where people look out for each other.

    • Will I be expected to specialize in a specific sector?

      No. We aim to staff our consultants on as wide a variety of projects as possible to maximize the learning opportunity for you. In later stages of your career at EY-Parthenon, you are expected to start specializing in specific sectors and/or project types. That being said, if you enter EY-Parthenon with strong industry preferences, we will do our best to ensure ample exposure to your sectors of interest.

    • Other than work, what activities do you organize at your office?

      We like to spend time with our colleagues outside of working hours as well. In each case team, we foster bonding through case team events, which are initiated and planned by associates. Examples of case team events to date include karaoke, go karts, lucha libre, and canopy tours.

      The partners also host a variety of events, such as a day trip to Amanali, a country club north of Mexico City, where we enjoy team bonding activities such as golf, padel, and grilling.

      Informally, members of the team engage in hobby activities together. For example, a group of consultants and associates participated in the Spartan Race in August 2017. There is an open group message among fitness-oriented members of the team to coordinate attendance to group fitness classes and extreme sport activities.

    • What is the work-life balance like?

      Work-life balance is dictated by the pace of our projects, which is driven by our clients’ needs and our motivation to deliver outstanding results. Therefore, the workload can be hefty at times. It’s hard to put numbers to a typical working week. However, we believe that a healthy balance between professional and personal time boosts our performance and joy in life. We don’t believe in “face time,” so if you finish early or happen not to be staffed, there is no one holding you at the office. We believe in watching out for one another, but also in individual responsibility and dialogue in managing the balance.

    • What are my career opportunities after EY-Parthenon?

      EY-Parthenon alumni have moved on to make their careers in many different professional and business contexts. Some take on management positions with companies and organizations in a wide variety of industries or not-for-profit sectors. These companies include former clients, e.g., in retail, FMCG or transportation, as well as other leading enterprises in their respective fields. Others take our entrepreneurial spirit to the next level and start their own businesses: we've had our share of internet/new media managers, business-to-business and services initiatives, and several high tech and ICT entrepreneurs. Given our leading M&A and private equity practice, it won’t come as a surprise that quite a few of us eventually move into investment banking or join private equity firms. And yet others opt for academic careers, upping the ante on our intellectual prowess. Perhaps the better question therefore would be: what can’t I do after EY-Parthenon?

      Even if EY-Parthenon does not have a formal recruiting program with your university, we welcome your application. Students wishing to apply for fulltime Associate or Consultant positions or the Summer Consultant position should submit their application via the How to apply section.

    • I am a student at one of EY-Parthenon’s core schools in the US. How should I apply to EY-Parthenon?

      As a general rule, we are not hiring undergraduate students for Associate positions from one of EY-Parthenon’s core schools in the US. However, if you have a strong interest to work in Latin America from our Mexico office, please contact us via the How to apply section, and we will review applications on a case by case basis. When sending the email, please make sure to highlight if you will require work authorization sponsorship and level of fluency in Spanish.

    • How will I know if you have received my CV and cover letter?

      You will receive a reply indicating your CV and cover letter has been received.

    • How will I know if I have been selected for an interview?

      We will contact all candidates regarding whether or not they have been selected for a first-round interview.

    Application process

    To apply, you need to submit your resume (CV) and a cover letter. In your resume, make sure to include any extra-curricular activities which have helped you develop teamwork skills, decisiveness, communication skills and your personality. Your cover letter should provide insight into your values and drive.

    As part of the application process, you will be taking a GMAT- quant exam which you are invited to take in any of our on-campus sessions or at our office on the dates we will be announcing via social media and email in case you have already contacted us. Based on the results of the test and the contents of your CV and cover letter, we will invite you to our office for a first-round interview, which will consist of two case interviews with members of our consulting staff. In these case interviews, you are tested on your problem-solving, structuring and quantitative skills and your conceptual thinking. You will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions and get to know us better in this first round as well. The second and final round consists of two interviews, each with a Managing Director.
