Richard is Head of Tech Law globally for EY and leads services for start-ups and scale-ups under the EY Fast Growth Platform in the UK & Ireland. He focuses on international mergers and acquisitions as well as fundraising transactions, including buyouts, growth and venture capital financing rounds.

With his significant experience in FinTech, adTech, digital media, eHealth and enterprise software, Richard advises a wide range of companies within the technology sector. He works with companies from the start-up phase through their entire life cycle.

Experienced in cross-border corporate legal work, he regularly works with US corporations and investors on international projects. The Wall Street Journal's Financial News named Richard to its inaugural “Fintech 40,” the 40 leading innovators shaping the future of finance in Europe.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with Business and Management from the University of Manchester Business School.

Richard advises disruptive start-ups to grow and change the world for the better. “I spend my life working with amazing tech companies and investors – raising money for them, helping them grow and often helping to IPO or sell them. My life is split helping European tech companies grow and expand internationally or vice versa.”
