As EY Japan Chairman & Area Managing Partner, Scott leads professionals across the country and contributes input and guidance on EY strategy, processes and policies within Japan and from a global perspective.
He has over 30 years of experience serving multinationals and entrepreneurial companies as an audit professional. He has also managed the US Gulf Coast, UK&I and US Northeast Regions.
Prior to his current role, he was Vice Chair & Regional Managing Partner – US Northeast for five years and served on our EY Americas Board. Before that, he was the EY UK&I Regional Managing Partner for over four years and served on the EY EMEIA Board.
Promoted to partner in 1993, he has served many multinational clients. He has had secondments to Australia, the Middle East, UK and now Japan.
He holds a BBA in Accounting from The University of Texas in Austin.

From his leadership experience working in different cultures, he has helped to promote change in culturally sensitive countries by communicating with clients, external stakeholders, EY member firm partners and people.
While serving as Regional Managing Partner of the Gulf Coast, Scott was awarded the EY Chairman’s Values award for leading our support of our people directly impacted by Hurricane Katrina.
