Stephen is the EY Greater China Restructuring Leader. He is experienced in large-scale and complicated restructurings of corporations listed in mainland China, Hong Kong and overseas jurisdictions.
Stephen also participates in all forms of formal insolvency assignments, investigations, tracing and recovery of company assets in different industries. Stephen has over 30 years’ experience in advising financial institutions and private equity firms in relation to mergers and acquisitions, business restructurings and integrations.
Other services include receiverships, individual voluntary arrangements, bankruptcy and estate administrations.
Stephen earned a degree in Accounting and Business Administration from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (“PolyU”) and has worked as an adjunct professor at the PolyU School of Accounting and Finance since September 2016. He is also a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries.

Stephen is a member of the PolyU Foundation. He supports PolyU’s development and sponsors Students’ Service-Learning Scholarships. Stephen also supports all kinds of charity work, such as The Community Chest Hong Kong, The Sowers’ Action, The Haven of Hope Christian Services.
His belief is, “It is twice as blessed to give than to receive,” and this will help to build a better world.
