*Information correct as of June 2020.
Enver Yücel has dedicated his life to tackling what he believes to be one of the world’s most pressing challenges: affordable access to education for all. He began in 1974, with the purchase of Ugur Schools, and in the 45 years since, he has continued to build upon his ambition to create a cost-effective education system. The result is BAU Global, Europe’s largest private educational network by student population.
The company now operates educational institutions in 10 countries around the world, including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada and Cyprus. The network runs 300 schools and 6 universities, and it provides education to more than 200,000 students from 126 countries. Enver hopes to expand to 350 schools by 2023 and become one of the largest educational institutions in the world.
Enver has received global recognition for his investment in education, including the first award for contributions to global education by the United Nations Correspondents Association.
