Winning women Asia-Pacific Abigail Forsyth

Abigail Forsyth’s entrepreneurial spirit started as an eleven-year-old, selling sandwiches in the business park where her father worked. Following a successful career as a solicitor, that spirit resurfaced when Abigail and her brother Jamie started a cafe chain in Melbourne. Alarmed by the amount of disposable packaging being wasted, Abigail developed KeepCup, the world’s first barista-standard reusable cup.

Today, more than 10 million people around the world are KeepCup converts, helping to divert more than 5 billion disposable cups from landfills.

Abigail has opened offices and warehouses in London and Los Angeles to service growing consumer demand in over 65 countries around the world, but the business has stayed loyal to its roots. KeepCup’s headquarters is located in the Melbourne suburb of Fitzroy, where Abigail lives with her husband and children.

“Launching KeepCup was and continues to be about providing a solution to a problem — disposable cup waste. KeepCup is a positive global campaign that strives to make a difference to how we behave and think about convenience culture. We engage people through love of coffee, sustainability and design.”
