Koichi joined Ernst & Young Business Partner Co., Ltd. in May 2021.

After working in the Japanese practice unit of an international auditing firm in Los Angeles, Koichi founded and headed an international accounting office in Tokyo for nearly 30 years. He is an auditing professional versed in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Koichi has co-authored two books: Keiri de tsukau eibun meru (English Emails in Accounting) and Beikoku konin kaikeishi gaidansu (Your Guide to Becoming a US CPA).

Koichi graduated from UCLA.
