Yasushi Murofushi is a highly regarded lawyer with more than 35 years of experience in financial regulation, compliance, capital markets, banking and M&A.
He is a member of EY Legal Function Consulting and Legal managed services team in Japan helping legal functions implement practical options to improve their daily business operations.
He has served as Managing Director and Japan General Counsel at a leading international bank for more than 17 years. He was also the President of Japan In-house Lawyers Association, the largest organization of in-house counsel in Japan, for 6 years. Before that, he was a partner at major Japanese and international law firms.
He has LL.M from Cornell Law School and LL.B from University of Tokyo.
